I know there are a lot of causes out there and that you are asked by many organizations to contribute, but finally here is your opportunity to have fun, gain tax credits, and support a very worthy and legitimate cause all in one.

In November of 2004, my best friend, Leslie Mazzara was tragically murdered along with her roommate in Napa Valley, California.  Leslie was very passionate about child abuse prevention and worked very hard to raise funds and awareness for Calvary Home for Children in Anderson, SC.  In one particular project she assisted in raising enough funds to build a cottage that houses abused, neglected and orphaned children.

In honor of my best friend, Leslie's family and friends are joining me in the quest to raise enough funds to build an additional cottage at Calvary Home for Children and name it Leslie's Cottage.  With your involvement in The Rai$ing Race, you can help them reach this goal. As a former Miss South Carolina and contestant on CBS's Emmy Award-Winning Amazing Race, Season 7, I am hosting the second annual The Rai$ing Race which allows teams from all over to come and compete to experience what it is like to be a contestant on The Amazing Race firsthand.  There will be clues, detours, roadblocks, and pit stops.  They will even experience the cameras.  The Rai$ing Race will be covered nationally by the media.

There will be prizes for the participants and a grand prize for the first team to arrive at the Pit Stop - a free trip for two and spending money.  Teams will also have the opportunity to meet and race along with some of the teams from recent seasons of The Amazing Race.  A huge party and concert will conclude The Rai$ing Race and will be open to the public.
