Have you ever watched the hit CBS reality show The Amazing Race? Have you ever wished you could be on the show? Do you think you have what it takes? Then you should enter The Rai$ing Race Family Edition.  All the excitement of the Rai$ing Race and Amazing Race in a mini format.  Teams composed of one parent and one child (under 12) will race around the grounds of Freedom Weekend Aloft at the Sports & Entertainment Center searching for clues and completing tasks.  There will be detours, roadblocks and pit stops.  The first team to reach the final pit stop will win a prize.  Cost is $50 per team.  All proceeds benefit Leslie's Cottage at Calvary Home for Children.  Please read below two follow-up letters from three teams who participated in our first Rai$ing Race Family Edition.  More pictures coming soon.

Renee, Just wanted to let you, and the many volunteers, know how much fun we had this weekend. It is 10:30am and Tommy is still in the bed; worn out from the race.  All Madison has talked about is how "sore" she is!  The raising race family edition was fantastic.  I think all of the kids did a remarkable job.  The tasks were challenging as were the clues.  I think the beauty queen on the midway was especially hard to find with all the girls in crowns walking around.   Way to go!  I haven't watched my tape yet but I will be making and sending out copies.
